CK3 ProBE ADD-on - REVIEW
March 17th, 2010
What do you get for your money?
As an Add-on to the CK3 Pro, you get the only additional bits you require
CONTENTS
- CK3 Probe (for 74850C LiteOn Drives)
- Drive Cable with built in probe connector
I have used several probes in the time I have been flashing drives! (Including the mini probe that comes with the Blaster CK3, homemade probes, USBxtractor and Spear). This is the First time I have tried the CK3 Probe!
On first inspection, I am pleasantly surprised at just how well made this probe actually is;
The board is solid the soldering is flawless and more importantly the pogo pin tip is soldered into place but sits inside a recess on the rear of the board. It is, in my opinion the sturdiest of all pre-made probes i have used.
On the board there are 2 LED’s – One BLUE which is lit when connected to a CK3 that is powered on!
One GREEN, that only lights up when you have the probe in the R707 hole on the PCB. (Makes the probing part clear that you are on the correct spot and have a good connection)
IN USE
Here is what I did:

CONCLUSION
Well without any fuss, problems I successfully dumped my key several times.
It is a sturdy, well made item that doesn’t have any frills. It has clear indicating LED’s that are bright and intuitive. Overall it gets the job done, and does it well.
For the little amount of money as a Add-on which allows a user to dump the keys etc from a 74850C LiteOn with the least amount of fuss. I can recommend that if you own a CK3 Pro – This probe is well worth owning.
An Add-On item, CK3 owners shouldn’t be without.
