Now – I opened the kit to discover the Board isn’t actually a board! SHOCKED?
It’s actually a flexible plastic circuit board! I was taken aback and initially thought “how cheap” BUT when you place the board onto the controllers PCB and tape it down (for stability) you realise that this flexible board gives enough flex to sit into place  without being too rigid and not fitting! The flexible board sits in place enough for you to realise exactly what bit need soldered/glued where!

It’s so straight forward and self explanatory it makes fitment simple!

There are actually 2 versions of controller and this takes care of them both!
Following the instructions you discover which point is altered for which controller type! It’s simple to figure out and there is only 1 solder point that differs.

Now the Glue that is included – works well and can be used throughout without the need for any soldering (the toothpick is there for the application of the glue!)It does take a few hours to dry properly though! (unless you borrow a hairdryer - cuts it down to 15 mins!)

However – for speed (if you have the kit and ability – you can easily solder this board into place) I chose to solder this one for the purposes of review!

FITTING

Official fitting instructions can be found on Intensafire Website in Video format
Here is what I did:

reviews 012.JPG

Use the included screwdriver open your controller to expose the board

reviews 014.JPG

Lay the board into place – use sellotape sticky tape) to hold the flexible board in place. (the videos show you where to tape – important if you are using the glue!)

reviews 026.JPG

Used flux on the points requiring soldering!
Soldered into place – Barely used any solder as the points you solder to are already soldered points
Took me less than 2 mins to solder all the points

I should mention this is the easier of the 2 types to do.
The 2 circles are the alternate points for different controllers.
The upper one is slightly more awkward – but still easy enough!

Rebuild the controller, fit the battery pack, switch controller on.
Press sync button!
The light shown will flash once indicating mode 1, press again, lights 3&4 will be lit – Mode 2, press again light 4 will flash 3 times,
(only MODE 2 differs) and so on.

By holding right trigger and pressing sync – you get into programming mode for Mode 5
The site explains fully how this works!

So now you have a working Rapidfire controller. Let me tell you, it does Exactly what it suggests!
Fitment is simple, all the tools you require are provided and most of all – it works and it works well.

I hate to let the cat out of the bag but both my controls are now modded with Intensafires – They are great value and great fun! I’d buy more, but I have run out of controllers!

So if you love First person Shooters and are looking for an edge over your friends – This is an Item Not to be Missed.
